April 2019 Family of the Month

Each month the Anoka Knights of Columbus choose a family that models Christian family values and visibly live by them every day.  The family chosen for April 2019 is the Hildebrand Family.

Dallas and Sue Hildebrand have been parishioners of St. Stephen’s since 2001.  The Hildebrands have been married for 47 years and have two married daughters and three grandchildren.  When daughters Jennifer and  Joanna were youngsters, they were also active in parish youth group.  Their daughters also participated Bownies, Girls Scouts, and 4H.

The Hildebrands are Eucharistic Ministers and have hosted Lenten small group meetings for parishioners in their home. The couple also transport a number of residents from the Homestead Senior Living to weekend Masses at St. Stephens.  Sue has been involved with St. Stephen’s RCIA program and also is involved in the Catholic communion service at Homestead and volunteers at Birthright of Coon Rapids.  Dallas was an active of member of the St. John the Baptist of New Brighton Men’s group (former parish).

Both Sue and Dallas are very active with the Anoka Knights of Columbus by volunteering their time to help with Lenten fish dinners, the Haunted House, after Mass breakfasts, Tootsie Roll drive for developmental disabilities, ham and turkey bingos, Feed My Starving Children, Stepping Stone Emergency Housing dinners, Bowling Special Olympics and after Mass hospitality.

As a family, the Hildebrands enjoy precious time spent with their WA and WI families whenever they can.
