Council #2018 Blog * Written by ksetterholm
The Anoka Knights of Columbus invite your family to consecrate themselves to the Holy Family before Mass on December 29 and 30. A short consecration ceremony will take place in the Holy Cross Chapel right after the 5th Sunday Rosary and twenty minutes before each English speaking Mass. Consecration to the Holy Family is not a single event, it is choosing a way of life for your family. Through the consecration your family is devoting themselves to the ideal model of familial love set by Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Materials are located next to the Knights of Columbus kiosk in the narthex. Steps leading to the December 29 or 30, day of consecration:
- Pray as a family each day of the week.
- Each member of the family goes to confession during the consecration preparation period. – A plenary indulgence is gained for those who are properly disposed.
- On Thursday December 27, at 7:00 PM, meet in FCC 10 to pray the Rosary and participate in a discussion with Deacon Chuck Waugh about the meaning and impact of consecrations and the importance of consecrating oneself to the Holy Family. Refreshments will be served.
